Cocoa (or cacao) “beans” are the seeds from the cocoa tree.
To make chocolate you will need to crack, winnow and grind them, but they are absolutely delicious on their own!
No danger of melting, no added sugar.
Cocoa beans are known for their high antioxidant and magnesium levels.
You can eat the husk outside, but I prefer to crack them open and only eat the bean (nib) inside. Enjoy them straight out of the bag, add them to smoothie, oat meal or desserts.
