Peanut Brittle Attempt 2
This is my second attempt to make a proper brittle. Hopefully it works better this time :)
Peanut Brittle
Ingredients
100 g or 1/2 cup sugar
60 ml or 1/4 cup corn syrup
pinch of salt (if you use unsalted peanuts)
20 ml or 1/8 cup water
75 g or 1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
Place sugar, syrup, salt and water into pot (that has enough room when baking soda is bubbling up)
Cook until slowly boiling
Add peanuts and thermometer into pot
Stir until 148C/300F
Add baking soda work quickly so you don’t loose bubbles
Immediately transfer mix onto oiled/sprayed baking sheet
