Oreshki inspired Bon Bons

Chocolate bon bon recipe, inspired by Oreshki - a short bread cookie cookie with dulce de leche. I’m making a dairy free dulce de leche, but am also showing you how to make a traditional dairy dulce de leche. 

Dairy Dulce de Leche:

Ingredients: 

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk


  • Place can in pot

  • Fill with water so the cans are covered by 1-2 inches and place over medium high heat

  • Reduce to a simmer when water boils

  • Refill water as necessary

  • Simmer for 2-3 hours. (3 hours are better because, the sugar will caramelize more and will give you a more intense flavor and color)


Ganache

Ingredients

2 parts coconut cream

1 part chocolate

1 part roasted walnut pieces


  1. Heat cream

  2. Add to chocolate in 1-3 steps and mix well in between

  3. Add walnuts
