Oreshki inspired Bon Bons
Chocolate bon bon recipe, inspired by Oreshki - a short bread cookie cookie with dulce de leche. I’m making a dairy free dulce de leche, but am also showing you how to make a traditional dairy dulce de leche.
Dairy Dulce de Leche:
Ingredients:
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
Place can in pot
Fill with water so the cans are covered by 1-2 inches and place over medium high heat
Reduce to a simmer when water boils
Refill water as necessary
Simmer for 2-3 hours. (3 hours are better because, the sugar will caramelize more and will give you a more intense flavor and color)
Ganache
Ingredients
2 parts coconut cream
1 part chocolate
1 part roasted walnut pieces
Heat cream
Add to chocolate in 1-3 steps and mix well in between
Add walnuts
